Our client, a globally recognized leader in the construction industry, has an immediate opening for a Construction P6 Scheduler.
As a Senior Construction Scheduler at a very large and complex construction site, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of construction projects by developing and maintaining accurate project schedules using Oracle Primavera P6 software. Your experience with large electrical design build projects, blueprint reading, and time management will be instrumental in coordinating various teams and resources to meet project deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for developing and maintaining construction project schedules using Oracle Primavera P6 software
- Accountable for building and developing project schedules across a portfolio. The schedules will be built using the agreed work breakdown structure to support Engineers, Construction Managers and Project Managers
- Develop and maintain an integrated, resource loaded schedule using Finish to Start relationships
- Review and analyze project plans, blueprints, and schematics to identify key milestones and deadlines
- Responsible for total integration of schedule activities
- Reviewing contractor project schedules for accuracy and logic, comparing them to what is happening in the field; this may involve training contractor schedulers on scheduling software and best practices
- Identify schedule considerations and problems resulting from inter-discipline or functional restraints and interfaces
- Collaboratively work with respective disciplines, leadership, and client for, "buy-in" of the final schedule before issuing to the field
- Develop contract (baseline) schedule and maintain contract schedule updates with project teams
Key Qualifications
- Technical Degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, or related field
- Successful track record using Oracle Primavera P6 scheduling software on any combination of industrial maintenance, construction project, small or large capital projects, outage, or turnarounds
- Solid track record in large electrical design build projects
- Full proficiency and experience with scheduling computer applications (e.g. Primavera P6, MS Project) and MS Office suite
- Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally effectively and professionally and in writing ensuring tact and diplomacy
- Excellent multi-tasker, detail orientated, independent self-starter with good writing skills that can communicate effectively remotely and in-person with all stakeholders
- Demonstrated relevant experience in construction, planning, scheduling, expediting, and tracking the progress of the Work for contracts of a similar nature, size, and complexity
- Advanced proficiency with Oracle Primavera P6 scheduling software application
- Knowledge and experience in the different cycles of project controls and applications that support them
- A flexible, detailed-oriented team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks, work with diverse personalities & work styles, produce quality work, and consistently meet deadlines
