Position Overview

The Business Development Manager will play a crucial role in expanding market presence, forging strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth for innovative food products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development within the food industry, a keen understanding of market trends, and a passion for advocating the benefits of new and exciting food products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement business development strategies to identify and capture new market opportunities for our innovative food products.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to understand industry trends, competitive landscape, and consumer preferences. Use insights to inform product development and marketing strategies.
  • Partnerships & Networking: Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including retailers, distributors, food service operators, and industry influencers. Negotiate and secure strategic partnerships and distribution agreements.
  • Sales Growth: Drive sales growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. Develop and present compelling business cases to potential clients and partners.
  • Product Launches: Collaborate with product development and marketing teams to launch new food products successfully. Coordinate go-to-market strategies and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze business development performance metrics. Provide regular reports and recommendations to senior management on progress and areas for improvement.
  • Customer Insights: Gather and analyze customer feedback to refine product offerings and enhance customer satisfaction

Key Qualifications

  • Education: Degree or diploma in Business, Marketing, Food Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in business development within the food industry, with a proven track record of driving growth and representing innovative products in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of the food industry, including market trends and consumer behavior. Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. Ability to think strategically and execute effectively.
  • Analytical Abilities: Proficiency in business development, market analysis, and performance tracking.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
